One of the things about CashFlow Tribe that makes us different than other organizations in the real estate space is our focus on mindset. To us, it’s everything. If you don’t have the right outlook and mindset, we firmly believe you are making it harder to achieve the results and impact you want. You run the risk of operating from a scarcity mindset, failing to live in abundance. We get it, though. It’s sometimes hard to be in the right frame of mind all the time. With that in mind, here are ten tips to help to improve your confidence and mindset to set yourself up to succeed.
Define your why – what’s your goal?
Do you know what motivates you? What drives you to want to be successful? Take some time to get introspective and learn more about yourself. Why do you want to make a change in your life? Are you doing it to fuel your ambitions or help set your family up for success? You only have so much time available on this planet, so you might as well enjoy it. Knowing your why is critical to getting your mindset in order.
Look, sometimes, stuff happens that’s out of your control. Sometimes you can’t do anything about it and guess what, that’s ok. Please don’t complain about it, but choose to take action and do something positive instead. Embrace change, in all forms, whether you initiated it or not. See change as an opportunity instead of seeing it as a negative problem that you bitch, moan, and whine about. The power of attraction is that if you put negative out there, all you will get back is more negativity. It’s contagious. Choose to be positive and get ready for the abundance coming your way.
Keep moving – remember, it’s progress over perfection.
While many of us are perfectionists and have standards, the truth is that’s not sustainable or even sometimes needed. What matters more is that we make progress and keep moving. The more we try, whether it’s new approaches, new opportunities, or making new connections, the abundance we will attract. So we have to keep moving, taking action. One hour of action always outperforms ten hours of just thinking about it.
Work in your strength zone.
What do you do better than anyone else? What are your unique talents or superpowers that you can leverage? Don’t tell me you don’t have any either, because you certainly do. If you are unsure, ask those you work or live with, as I guarantee that if you don’t see them, others do. When you know what you are exceptional at, go all-in on those skills, and work in your area of strength. Where you are not so strong, supplement with partners or allies who can fill in the gaps. A power team is always stronger than someone going alone, which leads me to the next point.
Know you are not alone.
Trying to be a hero is admirable, but you don’t need to go solo truly. There are like-minded people out there willing to partner or lend a hand. CashFlow Tribe has thousands of them literally. So to connect, learn, share, and grow together and leverage the powers of everyone to take your collective results to the next level.
Invest in yourself.
There is no greater investment than in yourself. Whether it’s books, podcasts, videos, courses, workshops, etc., there are plenty of options out there designed to help you improve. When you invest in yourself and your mindset, you grow in so many unexpected ways as well. Aim to learn something new every single day. Make it your challenge that you will hold yourself accountable to note each day. Please write it down, capture those moments, and reflect on them. Then, periodically look back and be amazed at how much your life can change by improving your knowledge.
Let go of the past.
To quote a very popular Disney movie, “Let it go. Let it go.” Stuff happens. Sometimes you just need to move on. Simple as that. Don’t hold onto the baggage of the past. It weighs you down. Life’s a lot lighter and easier when you choose to keep your eyes moving forward than looking behind.
Don’t worry about how you may be perceived.
Trying something new might get you some critics who don’t agree with your approach or changes. Who cares? If you know what you want, go and get what you want. Too many people are crippled by fear and forced into inaction because they are concerned about being perceived. I know as I used to be one of those people. It wasn’t until a mentor of mine pointed out that I needed to care less that it made all the difference in the world.
You don’t need to know all the answers.
No one expects you to know all the answers. What’s more important is that you learn where to find the answers. Being resourceful and showing initiative will carry you much further than thinking you need to know everything. When you surround yourself with people who have experience in other areas, ask them questions. Most people will share their insights, lessons learned (some learned the hard way), too. Think of our Council mentors; many have gone through ups and downs, leading them to where they are now. That’s an incredibly powerful resource to tap into.
Smile, laugh and enjoy the adventure.
Life is short. Enjoy it. If you want to smile, laugh, and enjoy life, even more, choose to see the positive in everything around you. It’s going to be an adventure. If you want to have any semblance of success, however, you define it, you will want to do so while enjoying it with a smile on your face.
Your mindset is everything. If you follow the ten tips outlined, you will be well on your way to achieving the freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment you want. Remember, though; you are not alone. At CashFlow Tribe, we are always here to help. Whether through our live training sessions, courses, mentorship calls, or events, we aim to help everyone have the right mindset to achieve the success they want.
